Awesome application for creating tutorials and user manuals. Automatically takes screenshots, allows you to edit them and export to HTML or PDF, etc. Great!
Ninja Parade Slips Through Town Unnoticed Once Again
Genius. Absolute genius.
Wired Science is a new show on PBS from the same people that produce WIRED magazine and the WIRED.com web site. Obviously the show is about science, and I’ve really been enjoying it. They present a lot of interesting modern technology just like they do in the magazine and on the web site, but in full video with some great production values. And the best part is that you can watch the entire episodes, segment by segment, online!
Be sure to check it out, especially the World War 2.0 segment which I think has been the best so far.
Andy Sandburg is the greatest thing to happen to SNL since Will Ferrell. Every funny skit on SNL that I have seen in the past couple years (not that many) has been done by him.
One of the many, many benefits of being in the Air Force is being able to represent the military at community events. Last night I had the opportunity to attend the Colorado Rockies’ first home game of the playoff series and spread out the American flag over the field with a few dozen other military members. Also, while we were waiting in the tunnel waiting to go out on field (pic below) Charles Barkley walked through and shook everyone’s hand and thanked us all for our service. Pretty cool night! Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of us on the field, I think they cut out that part on the TV broadcast as well. It was great walking out on the field to the cheering crowd though.
Awesome remix of “This is why I’m hot” by Mims. I have no idea who Mims is but this Air Force version is awesome. I just can’t wait until I’m deployed to the sand pit so I can spend all day making videos like this! (No not really)
I like Amazon. I am an Amazon Prime member so I get 2-day shipping for free all the time, which makes ordering things on a whim much easier because you don’t have to worry about wasting money shipping a single item. But now I like Amazon even more because of the handy web site RefundPlease and Amazon’s 30 day price guarantee policy. Whenever you purchase something on Amazon, go to RefundPlease.com and enter the information into their system. After you do that they will track the price for you every day, and if it drops they will notify you so that you can request a refund for the difference. I already saved $2.00 doing this for my last couple of purchases. You don’t have to register on the RefundPlease web site, and I have not received any spam at all from them other than the notification that I was eligible for a refund. If you shop on Amazon a lot, be sure to use it!
Hello, I think I will start posting on this blog again. Some of my friends have finally caught on to the blogging revolution, so I figure I should join them again. It is too bad they did not catch on to this revolution 5 years ago like everyone else. All of my other friends have discovered either MySpace or Facebook or something else, which technically allows them to do similar things to blogging, but unfortunately it requires them to sell their souls to the devil in order to participate. And sigh, I have also succumb to the temptations of these social networks, only because some of my friends are so involved in them that they no longer use regular email, instead only communicating through these portals.
Things that have happened to me since I last posted on this blog: I worked for Apple for 2 years as a Mac Genius, I then left that job and joined the US Air Force where I work as a 1C6X1, a Space Systems Operator. The satellite you see at the top of my site is the satellite that I use to do my job.I will post in more detail about some of these things at a later time. This post is just to get back into the hang of things.
